Got just gratisappen CPH Airport (Copenhagen airport) for the iPhone. They have an eye on all departures and arrivals. What I like best so far is the function you can activate that tells if there are any changes and updates for one flight - then I will not have to worry about doing it when I sit on the train to Copenhagen.

Museums are not for me

by Ulf Lilja Koski on April 4, 2011

MuseumsQuartier i Wien - MUMOK (Museum Moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig Wien)

The Museum in Vienna - MUMOK (Museum Moderne Kunst Stiftung Ludwig Wien). A nice place to hang out in the rain.

Something I realized during my travels is that it does not interest me one bit to walk around the museum. My interest is to meet people and talk, which is unusual for a museum. I feel I miss something, miss exciting things and experiences that happen here and now, I miss what interests me - people and life in the city. Sure, some museums interesting and to my taste, but they may as well be a very niche and only offer a small limited selection otherwise the time I get tired of walking around in the endless exhibition galleries and rooms. Museum is the perfect place to take themselves and pass the time on the days when it rains too much.

Book airline tickets, Part 1: Bokasmart.se

by Ulf Lilja Koski on October 4, 2010

Bokasmart.se

Bokasmart.se

I was going to share with you the various sites where you can find and book cheap airline tickets and travel company that I usually call in to book tickets and hotels. First up in this series is Bokasmart.se.

Bokasmart.se searches 450 pcs carriers and brings out the current prices, times and vacancies.

In early December, I will probably fly to Lulea from Ängelholm Airport. Prices of a tur-/returresa, not last minute, is in writing, at 1890-2538 USD and it agrees well with the prices I have checked up.

Go to Bokasmart.se .

Sitting right now at Swedbuss from Norrköping to Jönköping. Think this is the first time I ended up on such a bus in which the climate system works and where the toilet is not sönderbajsad. Thumbs up!

Hello freedom, hello world!

...all was good

... All was good

After many reflections back and forth since the beginning of 2009/2010, I have now decided it is time to go out on a new kind of travel - and who is also a social experiment.

Strip Things I do not value
Long have I walked around at home, watching all unused space and pondering what I'm going to a coffee table, what I need one bedroom for what I need a big kitchen to etc.
The more I thought about it, the more it dawned on me that these are things that I personally do not value highly.
Meanwhile, most of my closest friends moved from Åstorp, while my interest to travel and keep up with my sociological studies of plants.
When other previously asked me why I still live in Åstorp the answer has been that this is where I have my friends, my family and also I do not feel locked into Åstorp when I consider myself to have one foot here and one in the world. Åstorp has mainly been a place to sleep and a place to run my business from.

In February, I started to gradually strip away things that I did not fit into my life. I told the company premises, fixed telephony, fast Internet connection and the like. The room I have left by January 2011 if it does not get hired in the past, telephone and Internet service expires at the end of July. The idea was that I should move into the warehouse in the apartment and make it more overcrowded and operate the company from there.
Last week I took, however, the next decision regarding my accommodation, and yesterday 16 / 6 2010 I said even up my apartment, electricity subscriptions and the like. I will continue living in the apartment for about 3 months if it does not get hired in the past.

SO WHAT DO I DO NOW?
The first step is to empty the apartment and business premises and move everything to my mom's house. From here I come for about one year to manage a lot of work and continue to develop the parts of the company that I can run using only a computer and Internet connection, and save as much money as I can. The plan is to then take me out into the world in one way or another.

As part of this I have now gone back to using my iPhone as mobile broadband and I care more and more e-mail contact and other communication over the phone. At Telenor, I found a subscription that is currently known as Telenor, Premium , and 699 kr / month can I call, surf, income, etc. how much you like. And I got my iPhone for free (iPhone in the bargain make sure only a temporary offer).

Right now it feels like I'm taking right decisions, then it may make or break. Have you thought about something for too long and it feels right, it's just as well to test, there is nothing to lose. I do not do this now so I will always ask me what had happened if I did it.
I'll keep you updated here on the blog.

Hello freedom, hello world!

London 24-26/9?

by Ulf Lilja Koski on June 17, 2010

London: Telefonkiosk - Klassiskt röda

Photo: Mark Hillary

I have never visited London.
Between 24-26 September 2010, including my mother and aunt to get there and now I'm wondering if maybe I should hang on and get a trip there to f ortsätta my sociological study of cities and their successful and unsuccessful public places.

While thinking I use CouchSurfing to find somewhere to sleep in the city. CouchSurfing is a great way to get in touch with those who live on the site and you get the chance to see the city and the people with their eyes - much better than hanging in a hotel room and not knowing where to go.

My hope is that I also win tickets for 6500 SEK from SAS by participating in their contest for a trip to London . You can find their contest here if you want to participate: Blog Journey .

I have not yet had time to immerse myself in the places I should visit, but probably they will be better included:
Piccadilly Circus
Soho
Speakers' Corner
Trafalgar Square

Less known locations can be found usually by asking those who live or have lived there - so do you have any suggestions do I gratefully accept tips. I am interested as I said, for both successful (where life is flowing) and unsuccessful (where you can not go even if it is intended to gather people) public places.
